PolicyChecked

How it works

From scattered paperwork to an organized renewal file

PolicyChecked helps you collect and organize your insurance documents. A licensed producer is available when you request a review.

  1. Step 1: Create a secure account

Sign up with your email and verify it. Your documents are private to your account and the licensed producer reviewing your request.

  2. Step 2: Add renewal and document details

Enter your business information and listed policy dates, then upload declarations pages, certificates, and schedules as PDF or photo.

  3. Step 3: Organize your information

See your documents, listed renewal dates, and items to confirm in one place. Turn on neutral reminders before listed renewal dates.

  4. Step 4: Request a licensed review

When you are ready, ask a licensed South Dakota producer to review your documents with you. Requesting a review does not change your coverage.

1. Create a secure account

  • Sign up with an email address and a password.
  • Verify your email. Uploading documents and requesting a review require a verified account.
  • Your account is private. Other customers cannot see your information.

2. Add renewal and document details

  • Enter your business profile: legal name, contact details, trade, and county.
  • Add a record for each policy you want to track, including the listed effective and expiration dates if you have them.
  • Upload declarations pages, certificates of insurance, schedules, and similar documents as PDF, JPG, or PNG. On a phone, you can take a photo directly.

3. Organize your information

  • Your dashboard shows each document, its review status, and the policy record it belongs to.
  • A renewal timeline shows your listed renewal dates.
  • Turn on email reminders before listed renewal dates. You can change this at any time.

4. Request a licensed review

  • Choose how and when you would like to be contacted.
  • A licensed South Dakota property and casualty producer reviews your documents and contacts you.
  • After the review, you may see a factual document summary. It lists information found in your documents and questions to discuss. It does not recommend coverage.

What happens to your coverage?

Nothing. Using PolicyChecked, uploading documents, and requesting a review do not create, change, cancel, or renew any insurance. Your current policies and your relationship with your current agent stay the same.

Use it from your phone

PolicyChecked runs in your phone's web browser. There is nothing to download from an app store. You can upload a photo of a document straight from your camera.

Add PolicyChecked to your home screen

iPhone or iPad (Safari): tap the Share button, then choose Add to Home Screen.

Android (Chrome): tap the menu (three dots), then choose Add to Home screen or Install app.

This is optional. You will still sign in the same way.
